Paint Techniques & Decorative Fun

Come and explore the magical world of paint techniques. This course is hands-on, packed full of information and ideas with tips & tricks taught by painting specialist, Lisa Spaarwater.

You will explore different possibilities and learn how to work with paints, waxes, varnish and different brushes. You will also learn the difference between distressing and ageing & learn how to gild, stencil, create texture, dye and paint fabric, decoupage, transfer an image, etc. This course promises to be loads of fun.
Lisa will give step-by-step demonstrations. You will then put all your new skills into practice on your own style boards that you can take home and reference.
Handy notes will also be giving out, as an extra bonus for you to refer back to. You will leave inspired – ready to take that neglected piece out of your garage & turn it into something special.

About The Instructor

I have been painting up a storm all over the Western Cape and involved in wonderful projects since 2003 – working with builders, architects, restaurants, wine farms, interior decorators and private home owners. I have worked with creative editors on numerous DIY articles published in magazines (Tuis, Home, Garden & Home, Woolworths Taste magazine). With 16 years painting experience, I have a wealth of knowledge with tips and tricks to share with you. I had the priviledge to meet & learn from inspirational creatives like Annie Sloan, Jonathan Mark Mendes, Perry Killington & our own Laetitia Viljoen. I am married to an art director/graphic designer & we are raising 2 wonderfully energetic boys.
