    Make your very own cold process and glycerine soaps using various creative techniques. Learn about upscaling and starting your own craft soap making business as well as packaging and gifting ideas for your soaps , how to display and merchandise them at craft markets and fairs, as well as marketing tools to grow your business. The course is ideal for the crafter/hobbyist as well as for a small business owner.

    MODULE 1

    Brief history of soap making
    The basic chemistry
    Equipment you will need
    Safety
    Basic ingredients and where to source them
    Properties of the basic oils and why you choose them
    Overall soap making technique

    MODULE 2

    Demonstration on making a cold process batch
    Colourants – natural and synthetic
    Essential oils and Perfumes
    Other additives
    Glycerine soap making
    Hands on making your own glycerine soaps

    MODULE 3

    Unmoulding , cutting , trimming , curing
    Rebatching techniques
    Troubleshooting
    Basic Business information – costing, packaging , marketing, merchandising
    Hands on making cold process soap

    MODULE 4

    Learn at least four special techniques :
    Funnel and pipe
    Basic swirl, spiderweb,

    hanger or feather
    Spoon layering
    Column pour
    Polka dots
